Cuatro Villas MDWUA offers a clean and reliable source of water for it's members. CV MDWUA is a viable alternative for homeowners concerned about the quality of water supplied by personal property wells. Our water is tested annually and meets or exceeds all EPA quality standards.


What areas are included in Cuatro Villas MDWUA?
We serve water in the four areas in Northern Santa Fe County. They are, Arroyo Seco, Cuarteles, La Puebla and Sombrillo. We currently have lines reaching most areas in these four communities. Please call (505) 747-4848 to get hooked up today.
How do I get connected to Cuatro Villas MDWUA?
It's easy. If you live, or plan to build a home, in one of the communities served by Cuatro Villas MDWUA then connecting is as simple as making a phone call and checking if your area is already served. Are my home insurance rates affected by the Cuatro Villas Infrastructure?
Yes. Because Cuatro Villas has put water lines and fire hydrants througout our four communities homeowners are eligible for lower insurance rates. Most homes in the Cuatro Villas area are eligible for Class IV rates which are substantially lower than before. Please check with your insurance agent to be sure they qualify you for the correct rate.
When and where are the monthly Board meetings?
Monthly Board meetings are held in the Cuatro Villas office every last Wednesday of the month.  They start at 6:30 pm and are open to the public.  You do not have to be on the agenda to attend, observe or participate with questions or concerns. We hope to see you soon.
Notice of all meetings shall follow the Open Meeting Act (“OMA” – NMSA 1978 §10-15-1 to 10-15-4).
When is the Annual Membership meeting?

The annual membership meeting is held in March of each year. Members are notified of place and time via US Post and information is also reported in the Rio Grande Sun.  The annual meeting is governed by the open Meetings Act.
Unless otherwise specified in the OMA resolution adopted annually by the Board, notice will be given at least ten (10) days prior to the annual meeting; Such notice will state the nature, time, place, and purpose of the meeting and be mailed by first-class mail to each Member of record, directed to the address as shown upon the books of the Association. The failure of any Member to receive notice of an annual meeting of the Members shall not invalidate any action that may be taken by the Members at such meeting.

What is the Cuatro Villas MDWUA Infra Structure?

Infra-structure includes water sources, water lines, distribution and transmission lines, infrastructure wells, pumps and pumping stations, reservoirs, easements, real property, and systems’ water rights. It also includes secure customer user data bases, existent contracts with vendors and consultants, and mutually agreed upon compliance documentation of relevant state and federal environmental laws. The CV water system’s obligations include contracts and collective bargaining agreements

Do I have to cap my well if I join Cuatro Villas MDWUA?

No. You would use Cuatro Villas water for your domestic needs but you could still use your domestic well for irrigation or livestock. If there is any common plumbing then you would need to prevent any backflow into the Cuatro Villas system.
