Connecting to Cuatro Villas

Hooking up to the Cuatros Villas system involves a few easy to follow steps outlined below. If you are a member then you are ready to proceed. If you are not a member then you will need to join Cuatro Villas first. You can obtain a Membership Application by clicking here. We look forward to serving you.

Connection Steps

  1. Contact the Cuatro Villas office to plan your connection. You will work with the Cuatro Villas Water Operator to make sure you are in compliance with all codes, rules and regulations.
  2. Determine the best route to your water line from the meter to your house. Consult a plumber if necessary.
  3. It is important that before you begin to dig or trench, call "Before You Dig" (Phone 811) to order a Utility Line Locate. They will come out for free in 2-3 days and locate all lines in the area you plan to trench. The lines located are marked and it is valid for 10 days.
  4. After installing the pipe a Water Pressure Regulator is required at the house end of the connection. Also, a secondary main shutoff valve may be installed at the house end, if desirable.
  5. Install a main shut-off valve at the meter end of the water hookup. The valve is required in case of emergency. It should be installed within a 4 inch PVC pipe with a cap. It is not permitted to use the water meter as a shut off valve.
  6. Leave the excavation open until the Cuatro Villas Water Operator inspects the pipe and installs the water meter.
  7. After inspection your water meter will be installed by the Cuatro Villas Water Operator.
  8. After installation the water will be turned on and checked for leaks. You can then backfill the installation and begin enjoying your reliable source of clean safe domestic water.
